The Kamwenge district Chairperson Agrey Natuhamya has today appointed newly secretaries in order to replace those that left after the elevation of Kitagwenda district being curved from Kamwenge.
During the district council meeting chaired by district Speaker Johnbosco Tumuhimbise today at the district council hall, Agrey appointed Costance Banjirana lady councilor representing Kamwenge town council and Kamwenge sub-county as Vice Chairperson and secretary for finance , Asiimwe Crinerious councilor for Kabambiro as Community Based Secretary (CBS).
Others are Sarah Katungyeza from CBS to production and natural resources and Hon Birungi Joseph representing Kamwenge town council who retained works position.
In the same council meeting, councilors elected deputy speaker as Hon Sarah Nayera representing female youth with 18 votes defeating Hon Leo Kajungu of Bwizi with 4 votes.
Hon Councilors further elected chairpersons for sector committees led by Hon Mbonigaba Fred for works, Hon Anah Tweheyo for production and Hon Kajumba Anet for social services.
Natuhamye has asked newly appointed and elected leaders to give better service delivery to people across the district.
He has appealed those that have been defeated to remain calm towards unity and harmony.
